George was joined by Brian Fitzpatrick of Oriel Sea Salt which farms the waters off Clougherhead in County Louth to produce a very high quality salt product which has been used by several famous Michelin star chefs.

Having tested waters all around the world - including the mediterranean and the Indian ocean - the business found some of the best conditions for the cultivation of high quality salt in the waters north of the Boyne estuary around Clougherhead 

In addition to salt the business is also looking at the market for minerals such as magnesium which is naturally present in sea water and extensively used in the cosmetics industry.
