While Apple is famously secretive about its product launches it seems that it is planning to continue its line of mid-cycle 'S' launches, with the iPhone 6S in September.
9to5Mac has developed a reputation as the most reliable source of Apple leaks online, it posted what appear to be photos of the new phone on Monday.

It had been suggested that the phone would be slimmer than the flagship model, these images suggest that the dimensions are the same, but there are big changes under the hood.
Having had time to study the photos experts now believe that extending battery life could be Apple's key-focus.
The photos show a new Qualcomm radio which will significantly increase LTE speeds which could prolong battery life.
It also appears that the size of the motherboard has been reduced - possibly to allow for a larger battery.
