Pilots at German airline Lufthansa will hold a three-day strike from 10pm on April 1st.
Their union says the industrial action is over pay and working conditions.
It is likely to cause the cancellation of hundreds of flights with Lufthansa passenger services and low-cost carrier, Germanwings.
The dispute is over pay increases and so-called 'transition contracts' awarded to pilots retiring before the legal pension age officially kicks in.
Reports says more than 99% of members of the Union Vereinigung Cockpit voted in favour of strike action.
The airline staged a protest last April, which saw around 100 flights in and out of Ireland and the UK cancelled.
