135 positions are to come on-stream at two separate companies. 75 new jobs have been announced in Dublin by the I.T. Alliance Group.
It has announced the positions as part of a €2 million investment. The company currently employs 400 people for its businesses an IT outsourcing partner for major companies like Microsoft, Dell and HP.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny says this announcement is a further enhancement of Ireland's reputation as a digital island.
While the Carphone Warehouse is hiring 60 staff ahead of the Christmas season. The positions will be available until the New Year in branches across the country.
Recently the retailer announced 11 new "Carphone Warehouse at Harvey Norman" stores which generated 80 jobs.
The 140 new jobs will add to its existing 600 strong Irish workforce.
