The Revenue Commissioners have collected a total of €13.7 million in interest and penalties over tax offences.

38 of these cases were for amounts exceeding €100,000, with five of these over €500,000.

The total collected by Revenue includes nearly €3.8 million in penalties.
A total of 1,978 Revenue audit and investigations were settled in the period from October to December of 2013.
This saw €103 million being taken in.
