Retail Ireland has written to the Garda Commissioner about the flag protest outside Leinster House on Saturday.
They are calling on him to use his powers to stop the gathering.
A group of protestors led by the same man who organised the Love Ulster march in 2006 plan to take their rally from Belfast to Dublin.
It is over the continuing controversy surrounding the flying of the Union flag over Belfast City Hall.
Organiser Willie Frazer of the Ulster People's Forum says he hopes it will be a peaceful event.
6th night of violence
The flag was raised above City Hall in Belfast today to mark the birthday of the UK Duchess of Cambridge.
But weeks of protest have resulted in a nightly battles between police and demonstrators.
Over 100 arrests have been made since the trouble began.

He says retailers are extremely worried and is calling for the march to be called off.
Last night saw the 6th consecutive night of violence in east Belfast.
