Ryanair has reported a loss of €35 million in its 3rd quarter results. The airline says the figures are in line with guidance.
A statement from management today puts the loss down to weaker sterling and a 9% drop in average fares.
Meanwhile the company efforts to 'soften' its public image has apparently gone down well with customers.
The airline says traffic grew 6% to 18 million passengers, while revenue per passenger declined 6%.
It says that its full year profit guidance remains unchanged at around €510 million.
Ryanair has previously announced customer service initiatives such as a free small second carry-on bag, 'quiet flights' in early morning and late evening and a 24-hour 'grace period' to correct minor booking errors.
Deputy Chief Executive Howard Millar says passengers have responded positively and they are going to continue rolling out the ideas.
