US real estate firm Kennedy Wilson has selected Irish contractor John Sisk & Son to construct its mixed-use development in Dublin’s south docklands.

The 660,000sq ft is one of the biggest contracts awarded in the Irish market since the collapse of the noughites' property market.

This is the fourth Kennedy Wilson contract awarded to Sisk. The Irish firm built the neighbouring Aviva Stadium, National Conference Centre and Dun Laoghaire's domineering seaside public library.

Kennedy Wilson has operated in the Irish market since 2011 and has spent €1.2bn acquiring assets here.

The first of the three office blocks is due to be complete in late 2017 - with 190 residential apartments due in the middle of 2018.

Kennedy Wilson’s Irish chief, Alison Rohan described the project as, "As a campus location offering over 330,000 square feet of flexible office space in addition to on-site residential, leisure and retail amenities.

"We expect it will appeal to both Irish and international companies looking for a location in the heart of the capital, and from which to grow their business," she continued.
