The economic downturn may be a thing of the past for some companies, as it is reported that internet giant Google spent €300,000 on their office Christmas party.
The Irish office of the search engine took over the entirety of the RDS in Dublin last Friday for a no-expense spared New York-othemed bash to celebrate Christmas, the Sunday Independent reports.
Employees enjoyed their own ice-skating rink, a ferris wheel, amusements, performers and a whole room dedicated to balloons.
The paper says there were men and women on horseback dressed as members of the New York Police Department, as well as vehicles decked out to look like squad cars.
Meanwhile, its San Francisco staff took over the world-famous City Hall.
And in New York the company threw a Great Gatsby-style black tie do in the famed Cipriani restaurant at Wall Street.
