We are undeniably reliant on our smart-devices and many know the pain of spilling a mug of coffee onto a phone and never seeing the little screen light up again.
One firm making waves here at MWC14 has developed a process called nanocoating which will protect any device from water or dirt.
As part of P2i's display at MWC, a stopwatch is set on a smartphone and the phone is thrown into a tank of water. Passers by can see the minutes tick by, with the phone working well after 35 minutes.
The process of nanocoating a phone includes placing the device into a low press machine which creates a vacuum and passes a radio frequency through to activate the surface area of the device.
