Ulster Bank says all of its services are now running as normal following major technical problems last night. Customers at Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), Ulster Bank and Natwest in Ireland and the UK reported that they could not withdraw money from cash machines, pay for items with their cards or access online banking.
The bank has apologised for the technical problems across its network. It is the second time in 9 months that customers have been hit. The group had similar problems in June.
A spokesperson for the RBS group said "We are disappointed that our customers have faced disruption to banking services for a period this evening, and apologise for that. All services are now running as normal again".

No reasons were given for the latest problems as customers took to social networking sites to complain about the problems.
Customers having continued difficulties can call 1-850-2121-461 in the Republic or 08457-424365 from Northern Ireland.
One of the bank's customers is Stuart Keel. He tells us what happened when he went to the supermarket last night.
