Web Summit founders Paddy Cosgrave, Daire Hickey and David Kelly reported profits of almost half a million in 2013. The recent accounts for Manders Terrace, the firm which controls the trio's business interests, show cash reserves of €1.1m. Over all revenues for the group are believed to exceed €20m.
Last month the 2014 Web Summit attracted 22,000 people to the RDS - more than double the 10,242 who attended the previous year's summit.
The company also held its first Collision conference in Las Vegas in May this year. Referred to as a "beta test", the company promises to return to Vegas with an expanded 10,000 capacity event in 2015.
Web Summit is also venturing into the Asian market this year, with the 'Rise' event in Hong Kong next year.
Speaking to Irish Independent, co-founder Paddy Cosgrave has indicated that the company's current strategy is to reinvest as much as possible, and to continue to grow the company. The Web Summit currently employs in the region of 100 people and has eight job vacancies advertised on its website, and 2015 internship opportunities.
This year's Dublin event included talks from tech heavyweights including former Apple CEO John Sculley, Dropbox founder Drew Houston, Tinder co-founder Sean Rad, Getty Images CEO Jonathan Klein and other high profile speakers like U2's Bono and Hollywood actress Eva Longoria.
