There have been six additional deaths and 269 more cases of coronavirus in Ireland.
There has been a total of 2,033 COVID-19 related deaths and 71,187 confirmed cases here.
This includes the denotification of one death and 12 confirmed cases.
Of the cases notified on Wednesday:
- 123 are men / 146 are women
- 64% are under 45 years of age
- The median age is 35 years old
Some 88 cases are in Dublin, 42 in Cork, 25 in Limerick, 20 in Louth and 16 in Donegal.
The remaining 78 are spread across 17 other counties.
As of 2.00pm 260 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised - of which 36 are in ICU.
There have been 23 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
Donegal remains the county with the highest 14-day incidence rate per 100,000 population - at 222.4.
Louth (208.7), Limerick (188.8), Waterford (140.3) and Roscommon (128.6) make up the top five.
Wexford also remains the county with the lowest rate at just 34.7 - while the national average stands at 105.5.
