There have been 552 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the Republic, according to the Department of Health.
There have been two further deaths associated with the virus in the past 24 hours.
The latest figures bring the total amount of cases here to 62,002, while the number of coronavirus-related deaths stands at 1,915.
The numbers are reflective of the denotification of six confirmed cases of the virus.
Of the latest cases, 63% are under 45 years of age, while the median age is 36 years old.
Regarding the nationwide distribution of cases, 173 are in Dublin, 86 in Cork, 40 in Limerick, 30 in Donegal and the remaining 223 cases are across all other counties.
275 are men and 275 are women.
As of 2pm today, 330 people are now receiving treatment in hospital for the virus after 17 new admissions in the past 24 hours.
Of those patients, 47 are in ICU.
The 14-day incidence rate per 100,000 of the population now stands at 253.5.
Yesterday, Dr Tony Holohan, Chief Medical Officer at the Department of Health said that "we are making progress in suppressing the current rise of COVID-19" but that "it is too early to ease our efforts".
Meanwhile, 685 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Northern Ireland in the last 24 hours.
There have also been five additional deaths reported by the Department of Health there.
