We're back from a hectic but fun, and pretty inspiring weekend in Westport and ready to get back 'Down to Business,' and I'm very excited about tomorrow's show.

We're live on air and online from 10:00 - here's what you can expect:

  • Ronan Harris MD of Google Ireland joins us - he tells us why he will be sleeping rough in Dublin on October 16 as part of Focus Ireland’s ‘Shine a Light’ Campaign. Business leaders are being called on to join the sleep-out to help raise vital funds for its services working to prevent and combat family homelessness - more information is available here.
  • Niamh Bushnell, Dublin's first Commissioner for Startups will be in to review the Saturday papers.
  • We have been out and about, clay pigeon shooting with Liam Flynn who is one of the owners of Courtlough Shooting Grounds in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. He let us 'have a shot' at his unusual recreational offering!
  • Being paid for giving your opinions - we talk to columnist and bloggers who earn a living by speaking their minds. I'll be joined by Ian O’Doherty of the Irish Independent, beauty and lifestyle blogger Sue Jordan a.k.a Cherry Sue, and Pat Stacey from The Herald.
  • David Bell from the thehrdepartment.ie will bring us through the 'dos' and 'don’ts' when it comes to annual leave.
  • Gold prices have been dropping to record lows - I'll speak to Mark O’Byrne who is the Research Director and Founder of Goldcore who will talk us through the ins and outs of the gold industry.
  • Our Business Person of the month is Vincent Carton from Manor Farm one of Ireland’s largest poultry processors - they produce up to 600,000 birds per week. UCD's Ciarán Ó hÓgartaigh will be presenting him with a well-deserved engraved Newbridge pen and card holder.

We're live from 10am tomorrow, and you can follow the action and get involved on Twitter with the hashtag #NTDTB.

As ever, you can find my blog posts and weekly DTB highlights on our show page.
