Down to Business will also be at the Ploughing Championship on Tuesday in the Newstalk talk tent. Bobby’s chairing two discussions; one about Rural Crime and the ramifications for life in the countryside - and also a debate about the ‘Business Future’ of rural Ireland.
First though - here's what's on the agenda tomorrow:
- We kick things off by reviewing the morning papers with Michael Walsh; solicitor and partner with Byrne Wallace.
- Then we speak to butcher Pat Whelan of James Whelan Butchers, winner of the supreme award for the best food product in the UK and Ireland, at this year's Guild of Fine Food awards in London.
- Then we move to the Westbury in Dublin where Bobby attended this Year’s AA Hospitality Awards and speak to some of the winners including the AA Foodie of the Year and the AA Dish of the Year. Minister, Michael Ring was also on hand and Bobby got to ask him when he might be putting his election posters up...
- Motoring Mailbag with Toyota- It’s our monthly Mailbag, and this week we welcome Geraldine Herbert – motoring correspondent with the Sunday Independent. Geraldine will be talking about the motoring stories of the month and answering listeners' motoring queries.
- The Business of Weight Loss- We speak to the people who make it their business to help people to lose weight. We’re joined by Fiona Gratzer Managing Director with Unislim, Rita Fegan MD of Weight Watchers Ireland and Dave Kennedy who’s currently working a Slimming World Programme that has seen him lose over 7 stone.
- Twitter for Business – Are businesses missing a trick when it comes to social media? We’re joined by Conor Pope who is running a ‘Social Bootcamp’ and we'll also have Paul Dunphy, who is a Social Media Curator, joining the discussion.
- In our Executive Chair we have Michael Barry who heads up Ireland's largest independent drinks-distribution company, Barry & Fitzwilliam.
