This week on Down to Business things are a little different; same show and same great guests - except I’ll have spent the night before sleeping on the street.

As part of Focus Ireland’s Shine a Light Campaign CEO and other top executives from all over Ireland are spending the night outside in solidarity with the homeless in Ireland and I’ll be there too reporting on it all and wondering why we can’t put homelessness out of business!

After the night I’ll becoming straight into studio to present the show - live from 10:00am:
  • Kicking things off I’ll be joined by Ken Murphy, director of the Law Society who joins me to go through the stories making the mornings newspapers and the business pages
  • Sleep Out- I’ll be bringing you some of the sounds of my sleep-out with Focus Ireland from the night before and talking to some of Ireland’s leading business people and asking them why they’ve decided to sleep out and asking them what they think the business community can do for homelessness

  • Motoring Mailbag, with thanks to Toyota - We open our Motoring Mailbag and answer listeners motoring queries with Sunday Independent motoring correspondent Geraldine Herbet.
  • Light-Bulb Moment- Continuing our Series of Panels in Conjunction with the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award we asked three entrepreneurs about their 'Lightbulb Moment' when they realised that they had something special they could produce. Guest include Alyson Hogg, founder & CEO of luxury cosmetics company Vita Liberata and Ben Harris, co-founder & CEO of smart kitchen product company ‘Drop.’
  • Rugby Rugby Rugby- We couldn’t not talk about it! Newstalk’s intrepid Reporter Henry McKean will be over in Cardiff bringing us up to date.
  • Homelessness- We will be bringing some more interviews and sounds from out Sleep out with Focus Ireland and in particular we’ll be asking some tough questions about why solutions haven’t been found to the problem of homelessness
