In what’s becoming an annual trip, Futureproof are at the Cheltenham Science Festival this week.
As well as some amazing interviews with the likes of Richard Dawkins, we’re there to witness Fambelab. Famelab is the X Factor for scientists. Pick a scientific idea, stand up on stage and deliver it in a way that entertains and informs. Last year 23 different countries took part and on our very first entry, Fergus McAuliffe from UCC won the whole thing. He has since appeared on national television and given his own TEDx talk.
This year Physicist Adam Murphy from Ireland has reached the final and will be delivering his talk on the stage at Cheltenham in a bid to become this year’s overall Famelab winner. There's another Irish man, Padraic Flood, who's competing on behalf of Benelux. Could Ireland make it two years in a row?
Futureproof are delighted to be partnering the British Council once again for Famelab.
