James Randi, once a renowned magician and escape artist, is now known as the world’s leading skeptic and investigator of paranormal and pseudo-scientific activity.

Most will recognise Randi from his attempts to expose Uri Geller, the controversial mentalist, paranormal expert.

Many (mostly professional magicians and psychics) have found Randi to be nothing but a nuisance. However, his work has been praised internationally by establishments and leading political figures - which have seen him being invited to The White House. Esquire magazine named him as "One of the 100 Best People in the World, people who make our lives richer or larger or happier," sharing the honour with the likes of Nelson Mandela, Stephen Hawking, Bob Dylan—and Homer Simpson.

Randi has published books such as ‘The Truth About Uri Geller’, ‘Flim-Flam!’, and ‘An Encyclopedia of Claims’.

James Randi is also well known for his promise to give $1,000,000 to anyone who can prove paranormal or psychic activity is real. The money is yet to be claimed!
