Forget about wearable watches, this dress is the future of wearable tech.
Dutch-based fashiontech designer, Anouk Wipprecht created the stunning Spider Dress which uses an Intel Edison chip that uses biosignals to respond to its environment.
She dropped into Futureproof to show off her latest designs. The smart dress adapts to your own breathing responses which signal states of stress or relaxation.
If you’re feeling threatened, mechanical arms on the dress extend to protect your personal space. So approaching someone wearing this dress for a handshake is a potentially dangerous mission.
By contrast, if you’re more relaxed and someone approaches you slowly, the mechanical arms will provide a gentle welcome.
