In the middle of last year we very selectively put out a call for couples who were considering IVF and would be open to having that journey followed. We had approached SIMS fertility clinic who got on boar

d straight away and said that they would be willing be give a free course of treatment to the prospective couple and be part of that journey.

After careful selection a couple by the name of Lisa and Gary McMahon were chosen due to their suitability and their positive attitude to the process. Aside from everything else they were just lovely people. They were fully aware that their whole journey would be followed by a radio show, no matter what the outcome.

And so began a remarkable journey over 14 months which reached a wonderful conclusion today when we welcomed baby Nicholas McMahon to studio. Here's a short video we made from this morning's show where Nicholas was the guest of honour at our special Christmas broadcast.
