Christmas can be a very lonely time for many and with statistics indicating that there will be over 300,000 people over the age of 65 living alone in Ireland by 2021, there has never been a greater need for action
SuperValu are asking us to Consider Taking Time to Catch up with someone in our community who maybe lonely this festive season through a series of fundraising activities for ALONE.
You could drop around, to someone in your community, and have a chat and cuppa along with a pack of SuperValu Signature Taste mince pies as a 0.20c donation from all packs will go to ALONE Ireland.
SuperValu retailers around the country will also be hosting local coffee and mince pie mornings and wine and cheese evenings from Friday 23rd until Saturday 1st of December to raise further funds and awareness for the charity.
This Thursday Lunchtime Live will be live from SuperValu’s All Things Considered Christmas Café on 41 South William Street. The café will be open on the 23rd – 24th November from 10am to 8pm. Bring a friend along and enjoy some festive treats
