Dutch designers have developed a prototype smart aquarium on wheels - than can be driven by a goldfish.

Thomas de Wolf, co-founder of Studio diip, explained how the fish controls the mobile tank by swimming in a certain direction and they are now seeking backing on crowdfunding site Kickstarter.

A camera detects the fish's movements and then powers the motors to steer the car in that direction.

"Fish on Wheels is an aquarium on wheels that enables fish to drive wherever they want to go," he said.

"Finally some freedom for our aquatic pets that have so far been limited to their fish tanks!"

Nearly 70 backers have so far pledged more than £3,600 of the firm's £32,000 target with 26 days to go.
