The Fast Disappearing Red Telephone Boxes of Wales 2014 calendar has failed to sell even one copy despite providing a captivating window on to Welsh landscapes.
Kevin Beresford, publisher of the ill fated calender, admitted it was ‘naff, nerdy and boring’.
However the 61-year-old postbox enthusiast hoped there was a specialist interest on old phone boxes.
Mr Beresford is also the brainchild behind unlikely seasonal hit Roundabouts of Great Britain 2012, which sold tens of thousands of copies, but has failed to stir up the same hype over his latest ‘niche’ calendar.
However since going on sale in September not a single copy has been bought.
A disappointed Mr Beresford said: ‘We now feel the need to confess and state, we may have crossed a boring bridge too far.
‘But, are we not all fed up with David Beckham, six-pack fireman, Lady Ga-Ga, One Direction and dare I say Cliff Richard?’
One Direction and Sir Cliff Richard calendars are currently leading in sales in the run up to the New Year.
