An Oklahoma man who dropped $20 in a storm drain was stuck in the sewer for two days when he crawled inside to retrieve it. But once underground in the darkness he lost his way.

A group of kids walking home from school heard a strange noises coming from a manhole cover and called 911.

Local police were quickly on the scene. "We could hear a man yelling for help," said Sergeant John Chelenza.

The man was between twelve and fifteen feet below street level in a dark and wet pipe, a spot he would need a ladder to get out of. And his condition was not great.

"He did not remember what day it was. He wasn't sure how long he had been down there. He was pretty dehydrated and not really sure the time the date," said officers on the scene.
