The law never sleeps. And even if you're off duty.
This was especially true for officers Tracy Griffin and Terri Cave, from West Midlands Police in the UK, who were attending a fancy dress party when they had to switch back into work mode whilst still dressed as zoo animals.
The officers were buying drinks and nibbles in a supermarket in Coventry last March when they spotted a man threatening a woman. The pair got a shop worker to call 999 but the man became more aggressive, threatening to kill the woman before chasing her on to a bus.
At this point, still dressed as a monkey and a zebra, the two police officers stepped in and challenged the man, eventually wrestling him to the ground.
Uniformed officers arrived within six minutes to make the arrest.
This week they were commended for a job well done ... even when not in uniform!
