A Michigan shoplifter nabbed 600 dollars worth of products from a Walmart and made her getaway in one of the store's motorized scooters, getting away for some two miles before cops picked her up.

Shirley Mae Mason, 46, told police she swiped the electric cart, reserved for disabled shoppers, because she wasn't able to get a ride from the Fruitport Township store and "didn't feel like walking," The Smoking Gun reported.

Cops said she loaded six bags of clothing into the $1,200 cart before making her low-speed escape, the site said.

A customer spotted her zooming away with the stash of filched booty and called the cops.

Mason, who had an outstanding warrant for her arrest, was booked into the Muskegon County jail on theft charges and later released on bond.

A 53-year-old man who was with her was also arrested.
