Authorities in California have arrested two men on suspicion of stealing three Volkswagen minibuses that were customized to look like bright orange Tillamook cheese blocks.
Manteca police said the vehicles were found Monday in a storage locker that was rented by one of the suspects.
The buses, worth an estimated $100,000 each, were secured in a trailer pulled by a Ford F-350 pickup that was also painted orange.
The Manteca Bulletin reports that the truck and trailer were found torched 50 miles east in the foothill community of Jamestown.
The company was grateful to officials and those who shared the story on social media.
"While this kind of senseless crime is shocking and saddening, we are grateful for this happy ending," the company's statement reads.
The minivans had stopped in Manteca on a tour promoting the Tillamook County Creamery Association's dairy products.
