Michael Vannak Khem Misiewicz is accused of leaking submarine schedules for perks that included the concert in Thailand, prostitutes and luxurious travel arrangements.
The bribery case also snared defense contractor Leonard Glenn Francis and Navy investigations Special Agent John Bertrand Beliveau II.
Commander Michael Vannak Khem Misiewicz is accused of running the alleged pay-to-play scheme along with a Navy investigations special agent and the CEO of a private defense company who was milking hundreds of millions of dollars from military contracts.
The three exchanged lighthearted emails to hash out party weekends across the world, according to court documents.
“Should I ask more guys from the office if they want to go to Lady Gaga concert? Thanks!,” Misiewicz wrote to contractor Leonard Glenn Francis.
Federal prosecutors claim he plied Misiewicz and Naval Criminal Investigative Service Agent John Bertrand Beliveau II with pricey airline tickets, hookers and other perks.
In exchange, Misiewicz leaked confidential information, including ship movements, that Francis used to land valuable contracts running support of U.S. submarines and aircraft carriers, prosecutors allege.
