Police say at least 9 foreign tourists and their guide have been killed by gunmen in a remote area of Pakistan.

They were shot dead at a hotel in a northern province.

A local police chief says the victims were from Russia, China and the Ukraine.

He claims they were killed as they set out to see one of the world's highest mountains.
