A development strategy for the South East will be unveiled today which hopes to improve employment, education and social opportunities in the region.

The Oireachtas Jobs Committee will publish the 10-year-plan in Waterford City this morning.

The South East has the highest unemployment and lowest educational attainment in the State.

The report's author David Cullinane says he hopes the plan can be a blueprint for other regions.
