Speaking on the initiative, Ciara says: "It costs nothing, anybody can do it... it's so simple.
"All ages, all shapes, all sizes, all levels of fitness: you go for a walk for half an hour a day. That's the minimum."
This year's challenge begins as usual on January 1st and will bring you all the way up to April 9th.
Many of those who take part also find themselves continuing the daily routine well beyond 100 days.
As ever, all walkers are encouraged to use their social channels to share pictures and details of their walks, using #100DaysofWalking.
