The Jobs Minister Richard Bruton has officially announced that a hundred new jobs are on the way to Fethard in Co Tipperary.

Meat provider Ribworld is creating the positions as part of an 8 million euro investment programme supported by the Department of Jobs through Enterprise Ireland.

A hundred new positions are also coming on stream at global software company SolarWinds in Mahon in Cork and SPAR has announced the creation of up to a thousand new posts with plans to open 50 new shops across the country by 2016.
