11 people have been injured after a shooting incident in New Orleans in the United States.
Police confirmed that the shooting occurred in the early hours of the morning in the 700 block of Canal Street in the city.
One person was apprehended at the scene, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
However, they later clarified that their possible involvement in the incident remains under investigation and they have not made any arrests as yet.

It was initially understood that ten people had been injured, however, this was later clarified as 11 after one of the victims walked into a local hospital for treatment.
The extent of the injuries sustained by the other victims is not yet known.
US media reports indicated that two people may be seriously injured.
The shooting took place in the French Quarter of the city, a popular area for tourists and holidaymakers.
Officers had been in the locality following the Bayou Classic football game, an annual event between Grambling State and Southern University held on Thanksgiving weekend.
