Police in Belfast are still questioning a 12-year-old boy over the murder of a man beaten with his own guitar.

The child was taken into custody after 41-year-old Matthew Goddard was killed in the living room of his home on Christmas Eve.

Detectives believe he suffered a brutal attack and claim he was hit with an electric guitar, but refuse to say if it was the cause of his death.

Two arrests were made yesterday - they included the 12-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy. The pair are being held at the Musgrave Custody Suite.

A 21 year old man and a 24 year old woman who were arrested on Saturday remain in custody also.
