A 15-year-old boy is in a stable condition after being stabbed in Kildare.

The teenager was stabbed at Monread Park in Naas at 3:30 yesterday afternoon.

He was taken to Tallaght hospital, where his condition is described as stable.

Gardaí are investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
