The dinosaur was flown in from the USA to take up residence as a permanent exhibit at the Grand Atrium in The Dubai Mall, the world’s largest shopping and entertainment destination.

The exhibit, which is free to the public, was assembled by an expert team of paleontologists.

The skeleton is on display in the main floor of the mall and visitors will also have the opportunity for a ‘close-up’ look at the one-metre long fossil’s bone structure. 

A dedicated team of staff is on-site to provide visitors with information about the dinosaur, the discovery of the fossil and the process that went into reconstructing it.

Nearly 90% of the fossil’s bones are original which makes it quite unique as, prior to this, those found had only 30% of their original bones.

The mall hopes the exhibit will increase their footfall. They had an average monthly footfall of 6.25 million last year, and claims that it is the world’s most-visited destination.
