Sixteen police officers have been injured this afternoon after more loyalist rioting in East Belfast.

Police used water cannon and fired a plastic bullet during the latest clashes to hit the area.

More than 70 police officers have been injured so far and more than 100 arrests have been made since protests first began 40 days ago - when Belfast City Council decided to limit the number of days the Union flag is flown at City Hall.
