18 people have been hospitalised after a collision between a bus and a truck in Co Monaghan today.
The incident occurred at around 1pm this afternoon on the N2 outside Castleblayney.
The injured passengers were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda following the collision.
No one suffered life-threatening injuries in the incident.
It is understood the bus had departed Letterkenny in Co Donegal at around 9.20am this morning.
There are believed to have been around 30 people on board the bus.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene and a section of the road was closed for a short time.
The road has since reopened in both directions and AA Roadwatch is advising motorists that traffic delays are improving in the area.
Gardaí say their investigations are ongoing.
