Two people have been killed and 30 arrested after violent clashes that broke out late last night in Ukraine's Russian-speaking city of Kharkiv.
The violence came after Moscow warned it reserved the right to protect its countrymen across Ukraine.
The UK Foreign Secretary William Hague is pushing for sanctions against Moscow, ahead of tomorrow's referendum on the future of Crimea.
