New energy provider Energia has just confirmed plans to create 100 positions in Dublin and Cork over the next year.
Energia already provides power and gas to businesses, but now it is to enter the residential market.
Meanwhile recruitment web site indeed is looking for 100 more workers to join them at their Dublin HQ.
The roles will be in the areas of sales, marketing, operations, business development and IT.
Aidan McLaughlin from Indeed says it is a significant move for the company, and the jobs are across a wide range of areas.
"Indeed is going to double it's Irish workforce at its international HQ in Dublin over the next 12 months" he said.
"Right now we have over 100 jobs, and by next year we're going to double that to 200 new jobs".
"They're in sales, client services, marketing, finance, IT and operations" he added.
The Jobs Minister Richard Bruton has welcomed the announcement.
