Over 2,000 people attended a rave organised and promoted on Facebook and other social media sites as 'Project P'.
It has been reported that six people were hospitalised as a result of drug overdoses and a 19 year-old girl was also sexually assaulted at the party.
James Taylor of Mecosta County, Michigan, organised the party at his family's farm house to celebrate his 20th birthday and moving to California.
Though the party began as planned, it quickly drew a massive crowd and spun out of control.

The event apparently featured two DJs, a fire-thrower, go-go dancers and strippers.
Taylor told Fox News that although he believes he successfully threw the largest party ever to hit West Michigan, it did get a little out of hand.
"People could have been laying out in my yard dead this morning," said Taylor. "I’m glad the police were here and the ambulances."
He is currently waiting to be contacted by the Sheriff's department and expects to face criminal charges, but isn't ruling out the possibility of another party.
“I am [responsible]. It’s my house. You got to deal with it afterwards, but apparently it was worth it.”
