Some 20,000 women will run the 10km marathon in Dublin today, with many raising money for charity.
The starting time for the annual event will kick off at the earlier time 12.30pm from Fitzwilliam Square in Dublin 2.
Women are going to run, jog and walk the 10-kilometre course.
Race director David O’Leary said it’s expected to be a “fantastic event”.
“It’s fantastic and it’s so exciting,” he said. “We're expecting upwards of 20,000 women to join us and that's only the half of it, because we have another 800 volunteers and staff helping to make sure everybody has a fantastic day.”
From Fitzwilliam Place, participants will run, jog or walk south through Leeson Street, Morehampton Road, Donneybrook Road, past RTÉ and UCD, before going north past Merrion Road, the RDS Pembroke Road, the Grand Canal before finishing on Baggot Street.
The main roads on this route closed at 4am today, including Fitzwilliam Street, Baggot Street Lower and Merrion Square. Other roads will close from 8.30am, 10.30am and 11am. Full information on road closures is available here.
