The suspicious death of a Limerick pensioner 3 years ago has been upgraded to murder.
The body of 92-year-old James Mulqueen from Kilmakeera, Kilcolman in Co. Limerick was found at his home on October 23rd 2009.
There was no forced entry to the house where he lived alone.
A post mortem at the time found he had a number of broken bones.
The investigation has now been upgraded to murder by the Garda Cold Case Unit.
Gardaí at Askeaton are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
