The winner of the SuperValu TidyTowns competition for 2023 will be announced today in Croke Park.
People from some 600 towns will be represented and thousands more are expected to watch it online.
The competition is organised by the Department of Rural and Community Development and Minister Heather Humphreys said she was “absolutely delighted” the awards ceremony is being held in Croke Park.
“Today is an opportunity for us to celebrate the wonderful volunteers the length and breadth of the country,” she said.
“These are volunteers who work tirelessly all year round to ensure their communities are looking their best.
“So, as Minister for Rural and Community Development, I just want to pay tribute and pay a big thank you to our wonderful Tidy Towns groups.”
2023 marks 65 years of the competition.
