A 22-year-old rally driver has died in hospital after crashing during an event in County Kerry yesterday.
The man was airlifted to Cork University Hospital after coming off the road during the Killarney Forestry Rally at around 2pm yesterday afternoon.
He was pronounced dead in hospital last night.
His co-driver, who is also in his 20s, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Gardaí and Motorsport Ireland are both investigating the death.
