A 23 year old Irishman has died in China. The man, named locally as Robert McHale, had been missing for the past five days. McHale was from Galway and had been teaching English in Jiaxing in the province of Zheijang, in eastern China.
Formal identification has yet to take place.
McHale had been missing since Monday night.

The Department of Foreign Affairs is providing consular assistance to his family.
