A 27-year-old man is due to go on trial today charged with the murder of a Corkman whose body was found in a refuse chute in an apartment block.

David O'Loughlin - who's from the City Gate Apartments in Cork - is charged with the murder of 59 year old Liam Manley in the apartment block on North Main Street on May 12th 2013.

Mr Manley's body was found in a refuse chute the following day, by a maintenance man who went to clear rubbish from it.
