Gardaí in Galway have arrested 3 men as part of their investigation into a post office raid earlier this week.
Two men wearing marks entered a shop and post office in Creggs on Monday afternoon before lunchtime and threatened staff.
One was holding a shotgun.
However no shots were discharged.
No items or cash was taken during the incident and the men fled the scene in a black SUV in the direction of the Glenamaddy Road.
Yesterday investigating officers arrested 3 men all aged in their 30s in the Ballyhaigue area of Galway in relation to the incident.
Two of the men are detained at Ballinasloe Garda Station and one man is detained at Galway Garda Station.
