Over 30,000 people are set to attend the Electric Picnic festival in Co Laois – which gets underway this afternoon.

200 acts will take to the 17 stages in Stradbally – to play 3,000 hours of music across the weekend.

The wide ranging line-up will include performances from the Cure, the Killers, Elbow, Orbital and Christy Moore.

There will also be 40 comedians to keep festival goers entertained – along with spoken word, food and family areas.
